Compensation: Base salary plus commissions (commissions paid quarterly)

Territory: Central

Travel: Some overnight travel involved

Average Sales: $30,000 for sales to corporate legal departments

Average Sales Cycle: 6-9 months for sales to corporate legal departments

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Generate and qualify leads in territory with strategic focus on Fortune 1000
  • Manage inbound leads from qualification to close
  • Prepare sales action plans and strategies
  • Conduct demos and make presentations to prospective customers
  • Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals accordingly
  • Prepare and present sales contracts
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with prospective customers
  • Source and develop client referrals from existing commercial accounts and current law firm customers in assigned territory
  • Maintain sales activity records in CRM and prepare weekly sales updates
  • Participate in sales events such as conferences and company sponsored events
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
  • Achieve or exceed territory quota

Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office suite and SalesForce.com (preferred)
  • Experience selling to corporate legal departments and/or law firms (desired but not mandatory)
  • Experience in field sales (face to face) ideally to larger organizations (Fortune 1000) with longer multi-touch sales cycles- preferably technology sales (SaaS ideally)
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (or equivalent work experience)
