Description

The Solution Architect (SA) is a part of the engineering organization and is the highest-level technology domain expert. The SA is responsible for the assessment of business requirements; collection and identification of technical specifications; and the subsequent development of viable technology solutions. The SA will envision and create solutions that meet customer requirements; model the components that make up the solution and their points of integration; prove the feasibility of a design through a proof of concept activity or a pilot project; develop detailed functional specifications for each of the components that make up the solution for the development team; guide the development team in the design and implementation of the solution in an optimal manner leveraging existing technologies. The SA will develop near/mid-term roadmaps, to address gaps and move the company towards technological growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Be the subject matter expert in the customer intelligence & insights domain
• Create near/mid-term strategy and roadmaps for solutions in at least one industry vertical among Telecom, Banking/Finance or Retail/Consumer Products
• Develop technology specifications and ensure that the solutions have optimal usefulness while leveraging existing assets and technologies when possible.
• Apply architectural and engineering concepts to propose solutions that meets operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability and manageability.
• Identify technologies or components to use the in the solution based on price, performance, service agreements and organization constraints.
• Leads proof of concept/prototypes/pilot projects as a subject matter expert and have the ability to gain buy-in on the proposed solutions.
• Provide continuous input to management throughout the development cycle.
• Review the ongoing implementation solution for improvement opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance to coach and mentor development team members.
• Keep current and informed of domain related technologies and best practices.
• Serve as technical owner and point of contact for domain specific solutions

Education & Experience

• B.S or M.S. in Computer Science or Engineering
• Minimum of 10-15 years’ experience of software architecture, design and programming experience on a Linux and/or Windows development environment.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in CRM, ERP, Data Warehousing, ETL, Data Quality, Reports & Queries, OLAP, Customer Insights, Dashboards and Data Mining. Deep understanding and experience in one of the following industry verticals: Telecommunications, Banking/Finance, or Retail/Consumer Products.
• Worked on projects involving the use of data intelligence to build a single view of customer for deeper insights, using advanced analytics like customer, web, social or mobile analytics.
• Worked on projects that deliver personalized experience and offers to customers across all touch points.
• Worked on projects that use identity coupling between social identity and CRM customer data to gain insights.
• Demonstrated ability in envisioning CI solutions in the mentioned industry verticals.
• Proven track record of delivering CI and Data Warehousing projects.
• Good understanding of SDLC, software frameworks and technologies, database tools, data modelling/management, network and security.
• Willingness to travel within the US. Some international travel is also required.
