Court Guru Perl Programmer Job Description

Location: Houston, Texas

This position is for a lead developer in a web-based application. Ideally candidates will work out of Court Guru’s downtown Houston offices.However on target candidates who wish to work out of a Houston home based office with weekly meetings in the downtown Court Guru headquarters will definitely be considered.

Candidate must be able to provide examples of production work, including code samples.

Reports To: Chief Technical Officer

Years of Experience: A minimum of 5+ years’ experience is required in mandatory skills

Mandatory Experience

• building web applications in Perl
• working with MySQL databases
• working with Linux

Additional Desired But Not Mandatory Experience

• ElasticSearch or Lucene
• Mojolicious or similar web framework
• Modern web servers such as Apache, Nginx, Hypnotoad, etc.
• Amazon Web Services
  • RDS, EC2, S3, EBS, and provisioning APIs
• Experience dealing with data processing and conversion from numerous sources, including XML, plain text, and OCR

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus pre IPO stock options and paid vacation
